Camping at Chengo Valley State Park gives you the rare opportunity to see the glacial phenomenon of its two kettle lakes, Lily and Chengo, up close. The lakes were formed from massive chunks of ice that were slow to melt after the last ice age. The beauty that has been left behind offers a breathtaking setting for anyone looking to explore the outdoors while RV camping in Binghamton.
The park offers boat rentals, dumping stations, pavilions, picnic tables, playgrounds, ture trails, and a beautiful beach. There is also a nice concession stand for food and drinks. Additiolly, Chengo Valley State Park Golf Course is located on the property.
“We had a great time on a long weekend. The campsites are great. Lots of space and privacy. Hiking trails are well maintained with lots of options for mountain bikers of all levels as well as just walking and discovering ture. The new swimming area was amazing. They have a diving board and a slide with a great beach area to relax in and a splash pad for the younger children. Wish we could have spent a little more time there. We will definitely be back.” – Nick, Google Review
