Off-road vehicle riders make it a habit of camping at Carnegie SVRA and spending their days on the clay soil. With a lot of dirt bikes and a few quads on the tracks, this park can be a noisy place during the day-use hours. The hills in this area, which are about 40 miles northeast of Fremont, are sometimes very steep.
Only primitive campsites are open to overnight guests at Carnegie SVRA. If you have holding tanks, you must fill them before your arrival since this park has no water filling stations. However, you can buy propane and firewood at the on-site convenience store.
“I don’t ride but I like coming here to camp for a day or two for a little escape…Lots of shade; bathroom and shower are clean. You’re not super close to the other sites…Has a fire bit with a little grill, a bbq, picnic table and some sites have a place to store your food.” – Vanessa, Yelp Review
