Nothing gets the gears of imagination turning than dreaming of what it’d be like to have an RV. To be able to live wherever you want or at the very least, pick up and go whenever you want. Daydreaming and doing are two different things, though, and there’s a lot to consider when it comes to buying an RV. We recently chatted with new RV owner Ashley who rented through RVshare to test the waters on RVing before pulling the trigger on their own rig.
Turning Dreams into Reality
Ashley shared that she and her husband dreamed of raising their children to camp. Being a large family with three young children, she knew they would need more amenities than tent camping would offer. RVing seemed to fit their needs, but they weren’t in a position to own their own just yet. When Ashley came across RVshare, she knew she found the perfect solution.
“RVshare gave us the confidence to try before you buy and not be fearful of that process.”
Renting Before Buying
Over the course of a year, the family rented through RVshare three times before eventually buying their own. Ashley viewed renting as a “low-risk opportunity getting into RVing” and shared some benefits of the process:
- Ease into RVing: Using options such as delivery and keeping trips close to home, Ashley and her family were about to dip their toes into the RV world with confidence.
- Layers of reassurance: Ashley noted that having the included insurance took the pressure off as well. Plus, there’s no better time to find out RV ownership isn’t for you than by being able to easily return it!
- Learn from the owners: The owners Ashley rented from were very helpful in helping her family learn about the RV. They carefully walked the family through set-up and tear down processes and were happy to lend their experience to make Ashley feel more comfortable.
Value of an RV
RVing is a unique way to make lifelong family memories that are hard to beat. And in Ashley’s experience, the RV not only fulfilled their family desire to camp more but their children also “had a richer experience than staying in a hotel for less than the price of the hotel”. RVs aren’t simply vehicles that take us from Point A to Point B – they are memory makers on wheels. Thank you, Ashley, for sharing your story! We wish you well on years of trips that await you!
