LeFleur’s Bluff State Park

Situated in the heart of Jackson, LeFleur’s Bluff State Park provides a lush green spot if you’re looking for urban campgrounds in Mississippi, and it has a driving range and nine-hole golf course. The park, which is named after Louis LeFleur, also offers many exciting activities for travelers, including fishing, picnicking, camping, and hiking. There are a number of trails in the area where you will hike between lush green trees, and the majority of the trails are situated right behind the Museum of Natural Science. The park has 28 RV camping sites that are fully equipped with electrical hookups and water. Long-term camping is also permitted at the park.

Gulf Haven Campground

Located right off of Highway 90 in Gulfport, Gulf Haven Campground is a great spot for urban camping Mississippi. You can park your RV and enjoy the serenity of the beach. Cable connections, Wi-Fi access, a laundry facility, RV hookups, showers, flower beds, and palm trees are just some of the things the campground has to offer. MovieTown RV Park

Located less than 30 minutes away from Jackson, MovieTown RV Park is situated on the west side of Canton. The park is big-rig friendly and offers 120 full-hookup campsites, and on-site amenities include a dump station for RVs, free Wi-Fi, grills, picnic tables, fire circles, laundry facilities, restrooms, and hot showers. Campers can go fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing, and biking. As the park is situated near the capital of Mississippi, you can visit all the urban attractions nearby. Additionally, there are numerous golf courses near MovieTown RV Park.

Frog Hollow Campground & RV Park

Frog Hollow Campground & RV Park is situated near Grenada, Mississippi. The park has 49 big rig-friendly campsites, a dump station, and free Wi-Fi, and you can enjoy your time by fishing, hiking, biking, and playing corn hole or bocce ball in the park. The park is also equipped with grills, picnic tables, and fire circles. It’s better to book your RV site in advance as the park is fully occupied most of the time, especially during game season.

Paul B. Johnson State Park

Located in Mississippi’s Pine Belt region beside Geiger Lake, Paul B. Johnson State Park is a fantastic vacation spot for people seeking a gorgeous environment and tranquility next to the offerings of nearby Hattiesburg. Besides camping, you can also enjoy some outdoor activities in this area, including, disc golf, fishing, jet-skiing, baseball, and canoeing. This adventurous place contains two playgrounds, a splash pad, and an arcade area for the kids. The campground at the park is also just 20 minutes from the University of Southern Mississippi, so it’s a great spot for campers to spend a football weekend.
