Schlitterbahn Waterpark New Braunfels
Touted as the “World’s Best and Biggest Waterpark,” Schlitterbahn New Braunfels truly is enormous. In fact, the place is so big that it is split into two main sections, and is home to four different themed areas or “parks.” The park covers a total of 70 acres and is home to 51 fantastic attractions. It’s so big, there are even trams that take guests from one section to the other!

Tips for an Amazing Texas Amusement Park Trip
- We recommend planning for extreme heat by starting your park day early, taking midday breaks, and prioritizing shaded or indoor attractions when temperatures peak.
- Book you campsite well in advance. Sites do fill up, especially near major destinations like San Antonio, Dallas–Fort Worth, etc.
- Stay hydrated and pack for the heat. Carry refillable water bottles, sunscreen, hats, and lightweight clothing.
