While numerous limestone cliffs exist in the area, climbing is not permitted in the park. If you want to rock climb, the nearby Piney Falls State Natural Area has a climbing and bouldering area featuring sandstone cliffs.
Biking
The biking routes follow the same pathways as the hiking trails. While you could travel on the River View or Crockett Trails, the Spur Trail is a great place for a gentle ride along the banks of the Nolichucky River.
How to Get to
David Crockett Birthplace State Park
If you are heading from Interstate 81, you will want to take Exit 30 to US-11E toward Greeneville. From there, you will continue for 3 miles. There will be signs marking the entrance on the left side of the road. Follow them to the visitor center.

The park is open from sunrise to sunset. There is no entrance fee to visit this location. You can find plenty of parking spaces near the trailheads and visitor center.
