Kiser Lake State Park, situated in Western Ohio near Dayton, is a 531-acre public recreation area known for its many great activities and its tranquil atmosphere. With its location beside Kiser Lake, the park is an excellent destination for activities like fishing, swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. The area is also home to a well-kept campground, several miles of scenic hiking routes, and peaceful picnic spots. In addition to the reservoir's clear waters, Kiser Lake State Park consists of wetlands, rolling hills, and lush woodlands. Kiser Lake State Park has a relatively moderate climate, with temperatures usually hovering in the 70s during summer. The winters are a bit harsher, and can sometimes see temperatures under 20 degrees. The park experiences virtually no snowfall throughout the year, but there is occasional rain during all seasons.

Located within Kiser Lake State Park, Kiser Lake State Park Campground is a large, peaceful campground boasting 82 single-family campsites. There are 20 designated RV campsites with electrical hookups and 10 sites that are tent-only. Additionally, the campground offers group camping on the other side of the lake as well as two available cabins. The RV campsites with electrical hookups can accommodate RVs up to 55 feet in length, while the other sites max out at 25 feet. All sites are equipped with tables and fire rings. Kiser Lake State Park Campground is a pet-friendly campground offering numerous amenities. For example, campers have access to BBQ grills, an amphitheater, a camp store, and an RV dump station. Other amenities at the campground include drinking water, a comfort station, trash collection, a nature center, and a campground host. During your stay, you can also check out the campground's visitor center.

Kiser Lake State Park

Kiser Lake State Park is primarily known for its water-based recreational activities. The lake offers fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, and even scuba diving. There are five defined hiking trails winding through Kiser Lake State Park. Most of these routes are moderately challenging, but the Marina Trail is exceptionally short and easy to navigate. Most of the park's hiking trails provide wonderful views of Kiser Lake.

Boating

Although boats with motors are not allowed on Kiser Lake, both sailing and paddling are very popular activities for visitors. The park features four small launch areas and one boat ramp, and the on-site marina has kayak and canoe rentals available.

Swimming Swimming

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Kiser Lake State Park's 300-foot swimming beach is open to visitors. Visitors can only swim during daylight hours and in designated areas.

Kiser Lake State Park

Kiser Lake State Park is located at 4889 OH-235, Conover, OH 45317. To reach the park from Dayton, OH, travel north on OH-4 for about 10.5 miles. Next, continue onto I-70ALT and stay left to continue onto OH-235 N/I-70ALT. When you come to the traffic circle, take the second exit onto OH-235 N, and Kiser Lake State Park will be on your right.

Kiser Lake State Park is open between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. every day, but visitors can engage in recreational activities outside of these hours. The park features an easily accessible day-use parking area, and visitors are welcome to enter on foot.
