Turtle River State Park is a beautiful park that is located in Arvilla, North Dakota. The largest city near the park is Grand Forks, and it has an international airport, so you have the option of flying to this area of North Dakota and renting an RV to use in the area to explore the state park. Turtle River State Park was made into a park in the 1930s, and most of it is wooded land that you will be able to explore. Turtle River State Park
Inside Turtle River State Park
When you visit Turtle River State Park, you will find 12 miles of hiking trails to trek on foot or to explore on a bike. Trails range in length from less than a mile to about 3 miles, so if you have experience, you can easily tackle more than a few trails during your visit. If you prefer to enjoy some fishing, the river is stocked so that you can practice different fishing techniques and still have a good chance of catching something. During the winter, sledding and cross-country skiing can also be enjoyed in the park.

From Grand Forks, travel west on US-2 for about 20 miles. Then, turn right onto Park Ave NE, and follow signs to the parking area.
