Located along the shores of Toledo Bend, Paradise Point RV Marina has all the accommodations and fun activities that you need in an RV camp. It will take you roughly 25 minutes to reach this full-service marina. They have fully stocked stores with everything from boat accessories and water toys to snacks and drinks. Enjoy hours of boating and fishing at the scenic Toledo Bend Lake, and use the fish-cleaning station afterward. South Toledo Bend State Park

Inside South Toledo Bend State Park

Visiting the park allows you to participate in fun activities such as cycling, camping, wildlife watching, and much more. The 100-acre piece of land gives you ample room for roaming and hiking. The river acts as a good fishing ground, and you can find various fish species, including catfish, white perch, bream, and largemouth bass. You can also swim at the beach area or head to the visitor's center museum for some nature-based exhibits and dioramas. Through this, you may learn more about the park's indigenous species and their role in the environment.

Outside South Toledo Bend State Park

South Toledo Bend State Park is conveniently located near a number of shopping centers, restaurants, and other state parks. You can always find something fun to do outside of the park. Campers to this park are always treated to historic sites along with scenic river views. As you head out of the park, the Louisiana scenic byways introduce you to the neighboring Cypress Bend Resort and soul food joints around Zwolle.

North Toledo Bend State Park

Fort Jesup State Monument

Also known as Fort Jesup State Monument, Fort Jesup was built 22 miles west of Natchitoches, Louisiana, to protect the U.S. border. You'll get to learn a lot about Fort Jesup's influence on Louisiana history through guided tours at the park. You can also find information about the Neutral Ground at the visitor's center.

How to Get to
South Toledo Bend State Park

Located in Sabina Parish, South Toledo Bend State Park is 16 miles west of Anacoco off LA 191. When coming from I-20, take LA 171; turn west onto LA 111 and then drive north onto LA 191. Turn onto Bass Haven Road; you'll be able to reach the park entrance, which is roughly one mile on the left.

Entering South Toledo Bend State Park

South Toledo Bend State Park is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
