The Oscar Scherer State Park was originally constructed to protect the ecosystem just outside Osprey, FL. The park is an unexpected natural oasis in the middle of an urban environment. Salt and freshwater fishing are both available. You can also swim in the water and hike or bike over 15 miles of paths during your stay. Located in Sarasota County along the Gulf Coast, this park is near Fort Myers, Sarasota, and Siesta Keys.

Oscar Scherer State Park is a unique habitat/species management area that's home to over 200 species of birds. Legacy Trail runs right through this park, making it a great place for a bike ride. Look at the park’s calendar for organized events and activities happening throughout the year. Oscar Scherer State Park
Once you get on Interstate 75, it's easy to reach this park. Take the Venice/Osprey Florida 681 South exit. After getting on Florida 681 South, stay right at the fork to get on US 41 N. Follow that road for 1.9 miles to arrive at the park.
