RV Dry Camping Usage (NO Hookups)
• RV refrigerators run on 12 volt and propane. REFRIGERATORS last about 12 hours on a fully charged battery, at which point the batteries will go dead.
You need to have a 110 supply at the campground, or a generator to use the heater at night. This would be the best way to insure that the RV battery will not run down during the night.
Start the Engine and run your vehicle for approximately one hour to recharge the batteries if you have no other source of charging. (Periodically check an engine temperature)
• If the battery goes dead the refrigerator will not work, nor any other 12 volt-controlled appliance.
If you do have a generator, you will need to charge the batteries everyday by starting the generator on board and let it idle for about three to five hours per day or idle an vehicle’s engine 1-2 hours a day.
Unless the RV batteries are being charged often they will go dead.
DON’T FORGET TO CHECK A BATTERY LEVEL AT THE SYSTEM MONITOR PANEL AND USE THE LIGHTS, WATER PUMP, HOT WATER HEATER AND OTHER 12 VOLT APPLIANCES RESPONSIBLY.
• No Awnings are allowed to use.
• USE WATER SPARELY
