At the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, you can see all of the main motocross events that crown winners of the amateur season. You can also explore the ranch in between events to go fishing, rent a canoe, or visit the property’s museums.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

There are quite a few amenities for visitors as the grounds have open-air festival seating with shaded picnic areas. Concessions will be available too. The Ranch itself also has lots of things to do when you’re not watching the races, touring Loretta’s plantation home, seeing a simulated coal mine, shopping at the western store, and visiting the grist mill and Native American Artifact Museum.

LOCATION

The Loretta Lynn Ranch hosts the Amateur National Motocross Championship every year, and it’s found in a remote area outside of Nashville. The address is: 8000 Highway 13 South Hurricane Mills, TN 37078

RVING AT THE EVENT

You can camp right at Loretta Lynn Ranch if you’d like to camp at the motocross event. The ranch offers three types of camping options, and RVs can get full hookups and access to a pool, cornhole games, and the ranch’s creek for tubing and kayaking. Here are some tips for staying at the Loretta Lynn Ranch: • For RV camping, be sure to book a site at the Stagecoach Hill campground at the ranch. This is the only camping option that has campsites for large RVs, but it tends to fill up quickly. Also in this camping area are paved sites that are given on a first-come, first-served basis. • If the Stagecoach Hill campground is full, try reserving a spot in the Lower Campground at the ranch. This is the only other area that can accommodate RVs, and it has 30-amp electrical and water hookups. • Try to make your reservation for the weekend of the motocross event over a month in advance to ensure you get a great campsite. On the weekend of the championship event, you can expect the ranch to be full, even with its 175 RV campsites. • Pets are permitted at the Loretta Lynn Ranch, so be sure to pack for your animals if you want to bring them. Pets must be leashed at all times, and they cannot be left unattended outside. You will also want to have plenty of waste collection bags to pick up after them. Aside from Loretta Lynn Ranch, there are some other campgrounds near Nashville.

WHERE TO STAY

You can also consider staying at a hotel nearby if all campgrounds become full during the weekend of the championship event. • The Buffalo/I-40/Exit 143 KOA has full hookups, pull-through sites, Wi-Fi, a pool, a snack bar, and a pet area. This campground can accommodate RVs up to 70 feet long, and most campsites have full or partial shade for hot days. • Eagle Bay Marina and Campground has full hookups, lake views, and access to a white sand beach. It’s located on Kentucky Lake, and it has limited hookups for RVs. • The Holiday Inn Express Hurricane Mills is a hotel on I-13, just a few miles from Loretta Lynn Ranch. The amenities of the hotel include free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and an outdoor pool.

HOW TO GET THERE

RVers are advised to take Interstate 40 instead of back roads to reach the ranch. Back roads may not be wide enough for big rigs. From Nashville: Take I-40 west 65 miles to exit 143. Take Highway 13 North seven miles to the track entrance on your left. From Memphis: Take I-40 east about 140 miles to exit 143. Take Highway 13 North seven miles to the track entrance on your left.

Parking at the ranch is free for all visitors.
