The State Fair of Louisiana has been a must-attend event for over 100 years! It’s the largest livestock show and carnival in the entire state of Louisiana. This is a family-friendly event with plenty of fun for all ages, including special events and attractions, free concerts and more. Visitors can take in the carnival and rides, plenty of traditional fair food, livestock shows and displays and competitive events including a 4-H talent contest, cheer and dance championship, cooking contests, the state fair car show and more.

Amenities available include a wide variety of food/beverage concessions, beer and daiquiri stands, electric cart, stroller, wagon and wheelchair rentals, merchandise stands along with the fair office selling t-shirts and hats, ATMs, lost and found and onsite EMS and police.

RVING AT THE EVENT
While there is no RVing on site at the State Fair of Louisiana during the fair, there are plenty of opportunities to RV around the Shreveport area, and no shortage of sites and experiences to make it a great vacation! Some of the nearby RV parks to choose from include:

HOW TO GET THERE
To get to the State Fair of Louisiana, follow the directions below:
From I-20 West: Take I-20 East and exit at exit 16A (Hearne Ave.), Take a left (North) on Hearne Ave and proceed to Kings Hwy. Take a left (west) on Kings Hwy and follow into Louisiana State Fairgrounds.
From I-20 East: Take I-20 West and exit at exit 16A (Hearne Ave.), Take a right (North) on Hearne Ave and proceed to Kings Hwy. Take a left (west) on Kings Hwy and follow into Louisiana State Fairgrounds.
PARKING
General parking on-site at the fairgrounds is $(TBA), but is free on weekdays from 10am – 3pm.
TICKETS & PRICING

Fair admission, tickets for carnival rides, and season passes can be purchased on-site during the fair each day. There are many specials for discount ticketing as well, including:
Free Fair Days: On Mondays thru Fridays from 12am to 3pm, parking and gate admission are free.
Discount Wednesdays: Gate admission is $TBA and a ride armband is $TBA.
