Nestled between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Massanutten Mountains, this premier campground is located right on the banks of the Shenandoah River. Simplicity, peacefulness, relaxation – that’s some of the words you could describe Riverside Camping with. The park is mainly used by seasonal campers but has certain sites set aside for use by campers who’d like to stay for a short trip.
You won’t have to go far to visit Shenandoah National Park, the entrance is only about thirty minutes away. You can spend a day exploring the adventures in the National Park, then come back to the campground and take advantage of the many perks it offers. One of those perks is that you can take full advantage of the river. Fishing, wading, canoeing, and boating are among the options. Or, you can just sit by the river and forget about the cares of the day!
“Very quiet, small, privately owned campground. Tent and RV camping available. Camp along the beautiful Shenandoah River. Good fishing location. Occasionally see the native birds and wildlife.” – Roy, Google reviews
