With the Crater of Diamonds State Park just a mile away, this little De Queen, Arkansas campground is convenient. The friendly on-site staff will teach you how to hunt for diamonds and provide you with the necessary tools. Murfreesboro RV Park even has a special area for diamond washing.
You can buy firewood and other supplies right on the premises of this campground, and the staff offers free ice to all the guests. If you want to get to know your neighbors, you can attend the potluck dinner that’s held every other Thursday. For a few minutes of quiet time, check out a book or DVD at the library and enjoy it while the kids are exploring the playground.
“This is the ONLY place to stay if you are going to the crater of diamonds. Al and Alberta are the nicest people in the world. Kids had fun at the nightly gem hunt. There are DVDs to watch, books to read and great conversation to be had with Al. My favorite RV park in the world. We will certainly be back.” – Junid, Google Review
