Chestnut Ridge Park is surrounded by over 16,000 acres of outdoor recreatiol area. With so much to see, it’s no wonder why this park is one of the best RV camping spots in all of West Virginia! That’s not all- Chestnut Ridge strives to provide “safe, welcoming parks and open year-round recreation facilities and programs.” It’s a great place for families to rest and relax!
The campsites are beautiful and a big reason why this park is one of the best in the state, but another draw is the local area itself- there’s excitement around every corner! You can head to the WVU Challenge Course and Zip Canopy Tours for some adventurous fun. At Coopers Rock State Forest, you’ll be able to test your climbing skills with climbing and rappelling tours! For something a little more laid back, you can rent a kayak or canoe and paddle the day away. A great option for kids is the Launch Pad Trampoline Park, where they’ll be able to bounce away all their extra energy!
“Quiet, remote park, that is still a reasoble drive from town. Always having fun events, especially if you have kids. Lots of places to tent camp or quite a few cabins you can rent for pretty low prices. Concerts and swimming during the summer.” – Corey, Google reviews
