Featuring miles of white sand beaches along Mississippi’s Beach Boulevard, Buccaneer State Park sits on the western shores of Mississippi’s Gulf Coast near the Louisiana border. Just outside the park you’ll find Clermont Harbor to the west and Waveland to the east, both of which feature a number of amenities including great dining options and a casino. To the north of the park, you’ll find the Grand Bayou Coastal Preserve.
If you’re family-friendlyamily friendly park that offers the best of nature and fun, this is it. Unfortunately destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, the entire park was rebuilt in 2013 and is beautifully restored. For a state park, it offers an incredible amount of amenities, including a water park for kids, beautiful nature trails that lead to a pier extending out over the Mud Bayou Canal, a camp store, and an activities center with everything from disc golf, billiards, and video games to ping pong and seasonal events and activities. With plenty of beach access, you’ll find great swimming and fishing opportunities here.
