Algonac State Park is run by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Visitors can see freighters pass along the St. Clair River to Lake Huron. There are miles of hiking and biking trails on the park’s 1,500 acres of woodland.
Algonac State Park offers a long list of outdoor recreation, including wildlife watching and a shooting range. You can watch the freighters glide by if you have a waterfront site. Since it is a state park, there are nature programs every week.
“This really is one of the best campgrounds I’ve gone to! Child- and pet-friendly. Great location and wonderful staff. There is nothing I regret about going here. I have gone nine times so far.” – Ava, Google Review
