Luxury Camping in New York

Luxury Camping

Luxury RV camping involves parking your RV in a sculpted campsite, often more than 100 feet long to accommodate rigs of any size, hooking up electrical, sewer, and potable water connections, and enjoying wonderful amenities like pools, full showers and restrooms, and family-friendly activities. The state of New York provides you with access to forests, lakes, big cities, out-of-the-way villages, and world-class fishing, swimming, and boating, among other wonderful pursuits. If you visit during the fall, then you should take a foliage trip through the Adirondack Mountains to see some of the greatest colors in the world. Sports fans will love attending Bills, Yankees, Mets, Knicks, and Rangers games during the applicable seasons. And, of course, there is everything else that New York City itself offers.

Where to Go Luxury Camping in New York

Make the Most of Luxury Camping in New York

When luxury camping in New York, there are several ways to make your trip as enjoyable as possible.

Bring food and water: Your RV will likely have a kitchen in it, and you can save lots of money by bringing stuff along to cook rather than eating at restaurants.

Have a cellphone signal booster: Especially in the mountains, cell signals will be weak or nonexistent. Having a booster will help keep you in contact with friends and family.

Don’t carry cash: Bring prepaid cards or traveler’s checks instead. You can replace both easily if you lose them.

Dress for the season: For warm-weather trips, have airy clothing that allows you to stay cool along with sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats with wide brims. In the cold weather, dress in layers.

Read reviews: Even poor accommodations can “look good on paper.” Peruse travelers’ reviews of any RV resort where you plan to stay, and if they exist, then read industry reviews, too.

Pack it out: If you bring it with you, either leave it in a trash receptacle or take it back with you. Also, never take plants, dirt, or animals with you when you leave.

Don’t forget your meds: If you or anyone in your family takes medications, then be sure not only to have them with you but also to have a laminated list of them to present to medical personnel in the case of an emergency.

The state of New York offers joys during all four seasons, and nothing makes a trip feel more special than staying in a luxury RV.
