For those looking for the perfect luxury camping getaway, Connecticut is a great option. This New England state has quite a varied geography. Situated right on the Atlantic coast, Connecticut features beaches, thick forests, scenic hills, and rustic farmland that make for a great camping experience. The Connecticut River, which runs through the middle of the state, and Mount Frissell along the Connecticut-Massachusetts border provide plenty of luxury RV campgrounds. As a member of the original 13 Colonies, Connecticut also offers plenty of historical attractions to visit during your luxury camping vacation. Visitors can explore Revolutionary War sites and many other spots, including the former homes of writers and cultural figures such as Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe.
