Glamping in New York

If there was ever a state made for luxury camping, it is New York. Millions of visitors enter New York City every year while millions more who are New York inhabitants struggle to get out for a week or two and find some reprieve from the everyday grind of work in “The Big Apple.” Glamping, a mixture of rustic and luxurious camping, is the answer for many people seeking rest and recuperation through Mother Nature. This urge for relaxation has increased pressure for more and better RV campgrounds and resorts to satisfy the intense hunger for glamping in New York. Consequently, there are more luxury camping sites in the remote areas along the Finger Lakes, in western New York, in the Adirondacks, in the Catskills, and along large rivers like the Hudson than there are near densely populated areas like New York City.

Where to Glamp in New York

Glamping in New York is concentrated in remote areas where people can get away from the hustle and bustle of their work lives and enjoy Mother Nature. There are several choices of location, most of which are in the Adirondack or Catskill Mountains or along rivers and lakes.

Luxury Camping in New York

There are many luxury camping sites in New York. However, not all of them include pots and pans, sunblock, insect repellent, and other necessities. It is advisable, therefore, to check our blog all about glamping before you leave for an extended glamping vacation to ensure you pack all the items you need.

Remember, when you go on a glamping trip, you are traveling through small communities. These towns harbor unique restaurants and shops that often reflect the personalities of the locations where you are camping. Stop by and taste the cuisine or drift through a shop to get the feel of these relatively remote parts of New York. Those people who live there can create the best memories you take home with you — memories that last a lifetime.
