Chicken Corners Trailhead

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is responsible for 1 in every 10 acres of land in the U.S.

The Bureau of Land Management is accountable for preserving around 12% of all land across the country. While this land is preserved for future generations to use and enjoy, you can enjoy camping and outdoor adventures now in many of these places. That means that searching for "BLM camping near me" is a great way to plan your next trip if you want to enjoy nature while traveling in the comfort of your RV. Chicken Corners Trailhead in Utah is a great place to visit if you're into off-roading. This starts a 4x4 route along the Colorado River Canyon before going through an inspiring section of the Kane Springs Canyon. Next, you'll climb the anticline at Kane Creek up to Hurrah Pass before reaching a spot above the Colorado River. The last portion is what earned the name Chicken Corners, where you get to look straight down at the Colorado River below. The route stops 400 feet over the river opposite Dead Horse Point State Park. However, you can extend your adventure by tackling the Lockhart Basin to get deep into the Canyonlands Needles District. You can also spend time in Moab and enjoy a surprisingly diverse array of eating options. Zax Restaurant and Watering Hole has take-and-bake pizzas you can cook yourself, or hit up the Moab Kitchen for vegan fare. Moab is also very close to two national parks. Arches National Park to the northeast features picturesque arches, climbing, canyoneering, horseback riding, and hiking. Canyonlands National Park to the southwest is bigger and offers both white- and flatwater boating.
