Inside Lake Arrowhead State Park

One of the reasons that people come to this campground is to play on Lake Arrowhead. This 14,969-acre lake is known for the quality and amount of white crappie caught there, and it is also a good place to fish for catfish. How to Get to
Lake Arrowhead State Park

If you're staying in Wichita Falls, simply take Highway 281 south for about 7 miles. Then, turn left on FM 1954 and continue on for another 8 miles until you reach the park.

If you're coming from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, take Highway 287/82 until you get to Jolly. From Jolly, head south on FM 2393 for 7 miles. You'll then turn left on FM 1954 and take this for 3 more miles to the park entrance.
