Oklahoma

Lake Texoma, an 80,000-acre reservoir created by damming the Red River, is a sudden patch of blue that brings life to the barren plains. Lake Texoma State Park occupies 1,882 acres of land on the Oklahoma side of the reservoir. The nearest town is Kingston, OK; larger communities like Durant, OK, and Denison, TX, are within 30 miles and are easy to reach.
