Greenfield State Park is a 400-acre park in the Monadnock Region in the southwest corner of New Hampshire. It is in the city of Greenfield, and the park features bogs, ponds, and a forest that extends to Otter Lake. The tourist attractions outside of this state park include Dartmouth College, Montshire Museum of Science, King Arthur Baking Company, and Enfield Shaker Museum. You will find references to Mount Monadnock in the writings of Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson. You can enjoy swimming, canoeing, fishing, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. The cities nearby are New Boston, Peterborough, and Wilton.

Many people flock to Greenfield State park because of the walking trails. The walking paths are made up of different terrain and will take you to various points of interest. Snowshoeing is a popular activity in the winter at Greenfield State Park. This state park has beginner trails for snowshoeing; once you get access to the campground roads, you get to glide through the pines. Other features include a 900-foot beach for campers only and canoe and kayak rentals.

Greenfield State Park
Greenfield State Park is off Route 31. When coming from I-93 northbound, you want to take route 101 West to get to Route 31. You should see signs pointing towards Greenfield State Park. Follow the signs.

The campground at Greenfield State Park contains 256 campsites, all of which can accommodate RVs. However, all of the campsites at the park are primitive sites and none feature RV hookups.
The climate of Greenfield State Park is very harsh during winter and moderate the rest of the year. Winter temperatures can drop as low as 11 degrees with lots of snowfall, but the summers rarely get hotter than 80.
If you're looking to do some snowshoeing on the park's trails, the best times to visit the park are between December and February. Otherwise, you'll find the most excellent weather during the summer months.
You're welcome to bring your pets with you to Greenfield State Park. However, dogs at the park must always be on leashes of six feet or less whenever they're outside your vehicle.
