This is one of six state parks that line this massive lake in northwest Montana. Thanks to its location near Highway 93, it makes the perfect base camp for trips to Missoula, which lies 100 miles south. Kalispell, the gateway town to Glacier National Park, sits just 20 miles north. With its rocky shoreline and breathtaking mountain vistas, this park delivers exceptionally beautiful boating and fishing.

West Shore / Flathead Lake State Park Campground

Walk to all of the activities at the park from your site at the West Shore / Flathead Lake State Park campground. There are only 31 sites in the park, so make sure to book in advance. Seven of the sites are tents-only, and the remaining options are open to both tents and RVs. Any RV up to 40 feet is welcome. Inside the campground, enjoy picnic tables, fire rings and grills. Vault toilets are available, and you’ll find firewood for sale near the park office. Feel free to bring your pet as long as it’s leashed at all times. The West Shore campground closes for the winter and opens in May for camping. Campsites without electricity start at $18 for residents and non-residents with a Park Pass and $28 for non-residents without a Park Pass. For sites with electricity, the rates are $24 and $34.

Rollins RV Park

Located right on the shore of Flathead Lake, Rollins RV Park is a beautiful spot to park your RV. It features 43 sites with full hookups, many shaded by mature trees. With the park’s free Wi-Fi service, you can stream movies or keep up with the news right from your site. Keep in mind that each site is back-in only. If you don't feel like cooking, the RV park also has a restaurant on-site. Rates start at $59 per night and $365 per week.

Lake Mary Ronan Lodge Campground

Located in the hills about 8 miles from Flathead Lake, Lake Mary Ronan Lodge Campground is known for its forested campsites and lake access. Walk down to the shore and fish for trout, salmon and bass, or rent a boat and spend the day on the water. From camp, you can also access hiking and mountain-biking trails. All of the park’s Class A RV sites come with full hookups and stunning patios. Rates start at $75 per night and $430 per week.

Inside West Shore / Flathead Lake State Park

West Shore / Flathead Lake State Park is all about the water. Your campsite sits close to the shore, so you don’t have to go far for excellent swimming and fishing. The park features a boat launch; bring your own, or rent a pedal boat, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard on-site from mid-June to Labor Day. Be sure to bring a camera to capture the remarkable mountain and water views. Elsewhere in the park, you can hike along the shore, enjoy a picnic and watch for birds.
