How to Get to
Taum Sauk Mountain State Park

It is easy to get to Taum Sauk Mountain State Park from Ironton, which is located on Missouri 21, very near its junction with Missouri 72. Head south out of Ironton and turn right on Missouri 21 South. Stay on Missouri 21 South for about five miles until you reach State Highway CC. Turn right. In about four miles, you will see High Point Trail Head. Turn left, and you will be at the park.

Entering Taum Sauk Mountain State Park

It is free to enter the day-use area of this park, which is available from sunrise to sunset daily. Tent camping is an additional fee.

This state park contains the highest elevation in Missouri and the tallest waterfall in the state. Since most of the 6,888 acres at this park have been left in their natural state, it is a great place to reconnect with nature.
