Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park RV & Campground Guide

Arizona

The Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park once served as the provisions supplier in the area for the U.S. Army; it supplied a total of 14 different posts in Arizona, Utah, Nevada and Texas. At peak levels, the depot could hold six months' worth of supplies and goods. The principal stock buildings from that area still stand and are the main draw of the park.

The park is situated above the Colorado River and offers some great views of the river and California and Arizona landscapes. If you will be visiting the area between April and October, expect high temperatures that reach into the 100s and lows in the 60s, 70s and 80s. For the most pleasant weather, plan your visit to the park between mid-November to March when the temperatures never go above the 70s and can even drop into the 40s.
