There is nothing like the atmosphere of a college football game, and the excitement goes up a few notches when the teams are fierce rivals with storied histories. The Auburn Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide have met 90 times since 1893, and they will meet again in November 2026 when they take the field for the Iron Bowl on the UA campus in Tuscaloosa. Alabama has won the last six Iron Bowls. Can the Crimson Tide extend its winning streak to seven, or will the Tigers break the streak? This event draws college football fans and tailgaters from far and wide, and it provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy the RV lifestyle.

ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT

Iron Bowl weekend includes tailgating, campus traditions, pregame gatherings, the Million Dollar Band, team entrances and a full Bryant-Denny Stadium game-day atmosphere. Fans can spend time on the University of Alabama campus before kickoff, visit nearby restaurants and shops, and explore Tuscaloosa before or after the game. Check official Alabama Athletics and UA Gameday updates closer to game day for kickoff time, shuttle details and any special event information.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

Bryant-Denny Stadium has concession stands throughout the facility, with standard game-day options as well as specialty stands. Past concession offerings have included Poppin' Sisters Popcorn, World of Beer, giant German pretzels and Denny Dogs. Premium seating areas offer additional amenities, including club spaces, buffets, covered seating and private hospitality areas. Access varies by ticket type. If you need accessible seating, parking or mobility assistance, check official Alabama Athletics accessibility information before game day to confirm your entrance, parking route and shuttle options in advance.

LOCATION

The 2026 Iron Bowl will be played on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium, located at 920 Paul W Bryant Drive, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401. It's part of the University of Alabama campus, close to University Boulevard, Paul W Bryant Drive and I-359. RVers coming from farther away can reach Tuscaloosa by I-20/I-59, U.S. Route 82 or I-22. Bryant-Denny Stadium seats more than 100,000 fans, so expect heavy traffic, crowded campus streets and limited oversized-vehicle parking near the stadium. If you're bringing an RV, plan ahead for a designated RV lot, off-site campground or shuttle option instead of assuming you can park close to the gates. Tuscaloosa also gives RV travelers easy access to the Black Warrior River, Northport, Lake Tuscaloosa and Lake Lurleen State Park. Late November weather is usually mild but can be chilly at night, so pack layers and check the forecast.

RVING AT THE EVENT

RVers can stay overnight in designated University of Alabama campus RV lots during football weekends, but these are dry RV lots rather than full-service campgrounds. You need an RV pass, and your RV must be self-contained since the lots don't have any hookups. Entry to the campus RV lots begins at 6 p.m. Friday before game day, and all RVs must be out by noon Sunday.

Where to Camp Near the Iron Bowl

For a full-hookup campground close to the stadium, Coaches Corner RV Park is about 2 miles away. Located at 103 Hargrove Road East, this RV park is bordered on two sides by creeks, has gravel parking pads, and offers electric, water, and sewer hookups at all sites. Most sites can accommodate RVs up to 45 feet long. Deerlick Creek Campground on Holt Lake is about 18 miles northeast of Tuscaloosa. This campground is surrounded by forest and offers outstanding fishing, swimming, hiking and biking. Almost all of the 46 sites are designated for RVs, and they all have water and electric hookups. An option that is fairly close to Bryant-Denny Stadium is Sunset RV Park. The park is located just 9.2 miles from the stadium, and it's easy to reach from Interstate 20 or Interstate 59. Sunset RV Park has large sites with full hookups, a coin-operated laundry and clean bathrooms and showers. It also has free Wi-Fi and cable TV.

RV Rental Tips for the Iron Bowl

When you browse RV rentals near Tuscaloosa, you'll find vehicles ranging from Class A motorhomes to fifth wheels and trailers. A Class A motorhome is spacious and packed with creature comforts, but it may be a little too large for the narrow streets in Tuscaloosa's historic neighborhoods. If you plan to spend most of your stay inside the city limits, a more compact Class B or Class C motorhome makes more sense. Whichever type of RV you decide to rent, reserve early. Tens of thousands of college football fans flock to Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl, so RV rentals can book fast. If you're new to RV camping, review our first-time RV rental guide before you go.
