The Coke Zero Sugar 400 is part of the NASCAR Cup Series. Like nearly all NASCAR events, it's a great opportunity for RV travel. ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT
Official on-track activities kick off Friday, August 28, with qualifying for the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race at 3 p.m. Cup Series qualifiers run at 5 p.m., and the Wawa 250 race for O'Reilly Series takes place at 7:30 p.m. The main event, though, is the Cup Series race on Saturday. Drivers cross the starting line at 7:30 p.m. There is also a pre-race concert, which annually features a nationally known act. Check the race website for information on who is performing.
ON-SITE AMENITIES
There are plenty of amenities available at the Speedway. You can bring in coolers (up to 14"x14"x14") with beverages and food or purchase concessions on-site. LOCATION
Daytona International Speedway sits appropriately enough at 1801 W. International Speedway Blvd. in Daytona Beach. The 2.5-mile oval is the site of one of the few restrictor-plate races in the Cup Series, making it great for folks who need to hear the engines roar. Daytona Beach International Airport is just a mile away, making it great for anyone who wants to tick the race off their RV bucket list destinations in Florida.

Premium locations like the Shores at Lake Lloyd sell out well before the race, so plan accordingly. There are also options for all four turns. Not all infield sites have full hookups. Pump-out service is available for a $50 cash-only fee. Make sure your preferred location has everything you need before committing. Tents are prohibited in many locations, too. Off-field camping at the race is available, too. The GEICO Grounds on the backstretch of Turn 4 offer full hookups and shuttle service to the race. Bathrooms are available at all sites. Premium locations also offer private restrooms. 24/7 security is on hand throughout all RV locations at Daytona International Speedway. Wi-Fi is free.
Where to Camp Near the Coke Zero Sugar 400
You can also find plenty of off-site RV parks in the region. Daytona RV Park is a first-come-first-served location with 50-amp power and full hookups. Some 30'x70' sites are available. It sits 10 minutes between the beach and the Speedway. Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona RV Resort is just 8 miles from the Speedway. It offers 50-amp service, pull-through sites, and an on-site sanitary dump station. Sun Retreats Daytona Beach puts you about six miles either way from the Speedway and Daytona Beach International Airport. Some 30- and 50-amp electrical hookups are available. The site features back-in grassy pads, concrete patios, picnic tables, showers, laundry, and an outdoor pool.
RV Rental Tips for the Coke Zero Sugar 400
The Coke Zero Sugar 400 is a good choice for anyone new to RV camping, despite the race's high demand. Class C and Class A motorhomes are welcome at nearly every RV park. Fifth wheel rentals are a good option because several locations welcome them. Consider a Class A motorhome, too. Just be sure your preferred location allows them. By far the biggest consideration is the August heat in Daytona. An RV with air conditioning isn't a comfort or a luxury; it is a health safety issue. Know your site's power situation and your RV's AC system before you commit. Storms are also common, so know your shelter locations and have rain gear.

HOW TO GET THERE
• From Jacksonville and the north: Take I-95 South to US-1 (exit 273). Head south on US-1 to S.R. 40 (Granada Boulevard). Go west (right) on S.R. 40 to Clyde Morris Boulevard. • From Melbourne and the south: Take I-95 to LPGA Boulevard (exit 265). Then take LPGA Boulevard. East to Clyde Morris Boulevard. • From Daytona Beach and the east: From A1A, take any of the area's bridges to US-1, then take US-1 to Mason Avenue. Head west on Mason Avenue to Clyde Morris Blvd. • From Orlando and the west: Take I-4 East to S.R. 44 (exit 118), then S.R. 44 East to US-1. Take US-1 North to S.R. 400/Beville Road. Head west on S.R. 400 to Clyde Morris Boulevard.
