Every year, the "Happiest Place on Earth" hosts the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Visitors can wine and dine all day and all night at Epcot in the Walt Disney World Resort. However, this event is about more than just consuming some of the most delectable food and spirits in the world. You can enjoy music from the Eat to the Beat! concert series and learn master culinary skills in classes just for festival guests. Guests can also learn more about wine and cheese in seminars during the festival and rub elbows with some of the most renowned chefs in the world. This festival has been held every year since 1995.
The dates have been announced, however, the lineups are still being finalized. Disney has a history of offering quality concerts and a variety of entertainment options at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. The free concerts in the Eat to the Beat! series are sure to entertain as you enjoy some amazing food. 2019 festival featured performers Everclear, 38 Special, and Sheena Easton. Performances generally started at 5:30 p.m. nightly. Announced back for 2021 is Emile’s Fromage Montage: This family-friendly event invites guests to purchase any five cheese dishes from the marketplace booths. Once guests collect a stamp for each cheese dish purchased they win a complimentary bite-size cheesecake! Also Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeek scavenger hunt: Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt is available for purchase at the major gift shops for $6.99 plus tax. Match the 15 stickers of Remy and a food item of the locations on the map and earn a prize!
The festival is held at Disney World's 305-acre Epcot theme park in Bay Lake, Florida. You'll find the event's kiosks set up around the World Showcase, a section of the park with 11 pavilions themed after a specific country.
Being home to Disney and many more attractions, the Greater Orlando area has long been a favorite vacation spot for RVers. If you don't own a recreational vehicle, there's no need to worry. There are also plenty of campgrounds in the area that are easily accessible to Disney World.
For convenient RV parking at the resort, try Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. You really are out in the wild and away from crowds at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Pets are welcome in most areas of the campground. There is a pool with an awesome waterslide and a recreation area that includes horseback riding and canoeing as well as a golf course. Sites are big enough for up to a 45-foot RV, and you are allowed to have 10 guests per site. Campsites are fully equipped with electrical hookups, and most have sewer hookups.
The easiest way to get from your camp area at Fort Wilderness to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is to take the Disney shuttle bus. It will take about 20 minutes to get to Epcot.
If you want to stay nearby but not actually at the Walt Disney World Resort, try Sherwood Forest RV Resort. This campground hosts fun family-friendly activities such as horseshoes, ice cream socials, cookouts, and more. There are laundry and shower facilities on-site as well as a fitness center and clubhouse. For those who aren't quite ready to completely unplug, Wi-Fi is available.
Sherwood Forest RV Resort is just under 15 miles away from Walt Disney World. You can get to the theme park in about 30 minutes in light traffic. Take Sherwood Drive to Scott Boulevard and turn right. Turn right when you get to West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. Go 4.1 miles to the Epcot/Magic Kingdom exit.
Moss Park is another option for RVers planning to attend the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. This campground offers satellite TV at select sites. You can also relax and take in the beautiful scenery and wildlife that abounds around the lake. The RV park offers discounts to military personnel, Good Sam Club members, and seniors. There are showers and a dump station for guests. No pets are allowed at this park.
The time to get to Walt Disney World from Moss Park is about 30 minutes in light traffic. You can get there by taking Moss Park Road to East Mary Jane Road. Jump on the SR417 toll road to Tampa. Take the right ramp at Exit 6 to SR536 east. Go straight to Epcot Center Drive. Take World Drive to the Magic Kingdom.
