In July, the weather in Minot is warm but not scorching at an average in the low 80s. Still, if you plan to be outside for the majority of the day, then it's a good idea to prepare yourself for the sun with big hats, dark sunglasses, and sunblock. Loose clothing helps, too, and you should always have enough water.

The RV camping at the North Dakota State Fair is both reasonably priced and popular for its amenities, which include hookups and dump stations that are available on the grounds for gray or black water dumping. To avoid hassles when it comes to emptying your gray-water and/or black-water tanks, please contact the Red Lot Gate attendant no later than 4 p.m. on the day prior to the requested day of service. Dogs will only be allowed in your camping area. Please do not bring them to the gates because you will be asked to take them back to your camper. If you would like to park next to a specific camper you must list both reservations on one form. All camping spots are reserved, and all campers must be parked within each striped spot. Compounding campers in squares or horseshoe shapes will not be allowed.
