The Montana State Fair will be celebrating its 94th year in 2025. This is a nine-day exhibition that highlights the best of Montana’s art, horticulture, animals, and culinary experiences. The Montana ExpoPark has been home to the fair since 1931, and the grounds feature Art Deco-era architecture, where rides, rodeos, horse racing, comedy shows, and more are on display.

ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT

Top activities at the Montana State Fair include the Big Sky Pro Rodeo, which features competitions sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, the carnival, which features the 90-foot-tall Star Tower ride, and the horse racing events. Competitive exhibits will be on display, too, with over 22 different departments of talent, and entertainment will be available on the main grounds for acts by illusionists, musicians, comedians, and many more.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

There are plenty of amenities available at the Montana State Fair, including lots of food and drink concessions in the carnival area. Other amenities include ATMs, wheelchair rentals, stroller and wagon rentals, people movers, police and medical assistance, and showers.

The Montana State Fair is held annually at the Montana ExpoPark in the city of Great Falls, right on the scenic Missouri River. The street address is: 400 3rd St. NW Great Falls, MT 59404

RVING AT THE EVENT

Camping is available onsite at the Montana State Fair for you to enjoy during the weeks of the event. Campsites are limited, so it’s best to make reservations in advance by contacting the Montana Expo Park Fairgrounds directly. Campsites at the fairgrounds are shaded and have some electrical hookups. Here are some tips for staying at the Montana State Fairgrounds: • Camping is available only during large-scale events like the fair, so be prepared to leave your site as soon as the fair concludes. Camping in the days leading up to the fair may not be available. • Pets are allowed at the campgrounds, but they must be supervised at all times. You will also need to pack properly for your pets before you camp since you’ll need plenty of pet food and waste collection bags. • Campsites at the campgrounds are gravel but not level, so be prepared to take extra steps to level your RV once you arrive. • If the campgrounds at the fairgrounds become full or are otherwise unavailable for the fair, you can try camping at another campground near Great Falls.
