The Montana State Fair celebrates its 93st anniversary. The 9-day, family-friendly event features exhibits that highlight the best in Montana art, horticulture, animals and culinary experiences. Attendees have been taking in fun family experiences such as rides, rodeos, horse racing, comedy performances and live music and so much more, for decades! The Montana ExpoPark has been home to the fair since 1931, and the grounds feature Art deco-era architecture, which is an unexpected and beautiful surprise in Montana. Between the fun at the fair and the beautiful surroundings both inside the fairgrounds and in Great Falls, Montana, it’s worth a trip!
No one will be bored at the Montana State Fair, not even your youngest and hardest to please children! Some of the attractions and lineups include:
Big Sky Pro Rodeo : features competitive rodeo and activities, including several themed nights. The Rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association. For more information and to purchase tickets,click here.
Carnival: Arguably the favorite part of the Montana State Fair for many, the carnival features rides, games and tasty carnival treats and food. The Star Tower ride is a 90-ft. tall chair swing ride that offers thrills and beautiful views of the fairgrounds.

Grounds Entertainment: Catch a show from an illusionist, live music or comedy game show or enjoy magicians and jugglers strolling through the fairgrounds with grounds entertainment!
