The Montana State Fair returns in 2021 to celebrate its 90th anniversary. The 9-day, family-friendly event features exhibits that highlight the best in Montana art, horticulture, animals and culinary experiences. Attendees have been taking in fun family experiences such as rides, rodeos, horse racing, comedy performances and live music and so much more, for decades! The Montana ExpoPark has been home to the fair since 1931, and the grounds feature Art deco-era architecture, which is an unexpected and beautiful surprise in Montana. Between the fun at the fair and the beautiful surroundings both inside the fairgrounds and in Great Falls, Montana, it’s worth a trip!
No one will be bored at the Montana State Fair, not even your youngest and hardest to please children! Some of the attractions and lineups include:
Big Sky Pro Rodeo: Taking place on August 4th-August 7th, the Big Sky Pro Rodeo features competitive rodeo and activities, including several themed nights. The Rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
Carnival: Arguably the favorite part of the Montana State Fair for many, the carnival features rides, games and tasty carnival treats and food. The Star Tower ride is a 90-ft. tall chair swing ride that offers thrills and beautiful views of the fairgrounds.
Competitive Exhibits: With over 22 different featured departments, nearly everyone is able to showcase their talent. For specific details about competitive exhibits at the Montana State Fair, click here.
