Windy Point Campground sits deep within the Okanogan-Wetchee tiol Forest. Since it is a remote campground, the accommodations are quite basic. What it may lack in amenities, it more than makes up for in serenity.
The sites at Windy Point Campground feature picnic tables, and they are shaded by oak trees. You can access a river from this campground, and there are pit toilets on-site. Windy Point Campground is open year-round.
“It IS windy. Very beautiful. This area is all about the gorgeous canyon and the oaks. It’s the closest tiol campground to Yakima in the canyon. Spring would be the perfect time to visit as this is still pretty desert-y. The canyon gets wetter as you gain altitude. There are not too many sites, and of varying characteristics.” – Robert, Google Review
