Sage Creek Campground, featuring 22 sites, operates on a first-come, first-served basis and is located along Sage Creek Rim Road, an unpaved route that may experience temporary closures following winter storms and spring rains. The campground, which prohibits motor homes, pull-behind trailers, and other recreational vehicles exceeding 18 feet in length, makes an exception for horse trailers. A designated portion of the campground is reserved for horse use.
Facilities at Sage Creek Campground include pit toilets and covered picnic tables, but no water is available on-site. Visitors can access potable water at the Ben Reifel Visitor Center. Generators are not allowed, and due to the risk of fire, campfires are prohibited in the campground, along with the collection of wood. Nevertheless, camp stoves or contained charcoal grills are permitted in both campgrounds and picnic areas. When using charcoal grills, it is essential to ensure that the charcoal is cool before disposal to prevent the risk of a trash fire.
