Markham Park is approximately 11 miles southwest of Coral Springs in Westin, Florida. It is part of the Broward County Park System and located in a large 600-acre municipal park. There are two dog parks, a model airplane field, fishing and boating, a tennis and racquetball center, and a large swimming pool in the park minutes from where the camping area is located.
Your proximity to Fort Lauderdale and the Everglades makes this a great home base to explore the southeast Florida coast. Be sure to check out the nearby Jungle Queen River Cruise and take advantage of all of the activities offered in the surrounding park. You are only a short drive from the beach life in Fort Lauderdale and spending the day in the sand.
“There is a fire ring and grill for cooking. This park is located in the town of Weston so it’s very close to shopping – Publix is nearby. All in all, not a bad place to stay in Ft. Lauderdale at a reasonable price.” – Rdtrip04, RVparkreviews
