Here are 10 great beaches to visit when you take an RV trip to Oklahoma.
1. Arcadia Lake
Located in Edmond on the Deep Fork River is Arcadia Lake. Sandy beaches offer the perfect place to sunbathe or relax with a book. You can also take a dip in the water or jump on a boat to cruise around the lake. There’s a fishing pier and covered dock, as well as hiking trails and a disc golf course. And if you get hungry, concessions are sold during the summer months. There’s even nearby RV friendly camping, which makes this a great place to spend a few days.

2. Tom Steed Reservoir
Adjacent to Great Plains State Park sits Tom Steed Reservoir. This lake has 31 miles of shoreline, a swim area, and boat ramps. It’s great for the whole family and has concessions, a playground, restrooms, and picnic areas. You can also boat and waterski on the lake or hike around the nature trails at the nearby park. If you like fishing, the reservoir is a great place to fish for catfish, bass, and crappie.
Things to do near Tom Steed Reservoir: Explore the rest of Great Plains State Park. You’re also close to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge for more great hiking trails. Oklahoma City is just over 120 miles away.
3. Lake Eufaula
Lake Eufaula is Oklahoma’s largest lake with 800 miles of shoreline. The popular Lake Eufaula State Park has plenty of fun activities for visitors, including the Hummingbird Beach for swimming. Take a dip in the lake, or visit one of the marinas for boat rentals such as houseboats, canoes, pontoon boats, ski boats and paddle boats. Wakeboarding, waterskiing, and tubing are also popular lake pastimes. And fishing is permitted year round. Once you’re done with the water, check out the disc golf course, picnic areas, and hiking trails for more adventures. They also have RV camping available.
Things to do near Lake Eufaula: There’s lots to do on the lake and at Lake Eufaula State Park. But if you’re looking for city life, Tulsa is less than a two hour drive to the north and Oklahoma City is just over 100 miles to the west. 4. Broken Bow Lake
Nestled in the foothills of foothills of the Kiamichi Mountains in southeastern Oklahoma, Broken Bow Lake is a great location for those looking for outdoor adventures. Surrounded by Beaver’s Bend State Park, there are many places for boating, fishing, and swimming. Visit the marina to rent kayaks, canoes, jet skis, and other boats, or take a dip at the swimming beach. You can also fish for trout along the shore or in Mountain Fork River within the park.

5. Lake Murray
Another fantastic lake to visit in a state park is Lake Murray. Situated in the aptly named Lake Murray State Park, this lake is a popular destination for swimming, fishing, boating, and water sports. Multiple beaches are available for visitors to enjoy like Sunset Beach, Marina Beach, and Martins Landing Beach. And if you want to spend time on the water, a variety of boats are available to rent from canoes and kayaks to fishing boats and sail boats. There are also plenty of on-site activities besides the beach like golfing, picnics, camping, horseback riding, hiking, and biking.
Things to do near Lake Murray: If you can drag yourself away from all the activities in the state park, Chickasaw National Recreation Area and Sulphur Springs are just about an hour drive north. You’re also just outside of the city of Ardmore. We’ve got you covered with local RV rentals.
6. Lake Tenkiller
Feel like scuba diving in Oklahoma? That’s right, besides having great beaches and boating opportunities, Lake Tenkiller (or Tenkiller Ferry Lake) is a also scuba diving destination. Tenkiller State Park is a great way to access the lake’s sparkling blue water. Head to Fisherman’s Point Area for access to the swimming beach and boat ramp, or visit the two diving pro shops to get scuba diving training, certification, or equipment to explore Tenkiller Scuba Park. If you want to stay above water, it’s also a great spot for fishing and offers nearby hiking trails. And there are RV camping sites right in the park.
Things to do near Lake Tenkiller: Fort Gibson Historic Site is nearby if you’re looking to learn about the history of the area at a National Historic Landmark. And if you love music, the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and Museum isn’t to be missed.
7. Grand Lake
Grand Lake or Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees is a huge lake with multiple state parks and beach areas. Head over to Honey Creek State Park, also known as Honey Creek Area at Grand Lake State Park, for access to swimming and boating areas. Swim or relax at the beach, take a boat out on the water, or enjoy a picnic at the picnic facilities. There’s RV camping at the park as well as a dump station and plenty of hiking trails.

8. Lake Texoma State Park Beach
Lake Texoma stretches across the plains of Texas and Oklahoma and is a great way to experience water activities. Spend your day boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and fishing on the shores. The beach is a great swimming area, and the lake is known as a great striped bass fishing spot. Showers, boat ramps, and a hiking trail are also available to use and there are RV and tent camping spots that can be booked for an extended stay.

9. Canton Lake
The sandy beach at Canton Lake is the perfect place to take a dip in this western Oklahoma lake. Boating is also very popular we well as waterskiing or tubing. There are also fishing jetties, a nature trail, and camping opportunities around the lake, all run by the Corps of Engineers.
Things to do near Canton Lake: The towns of Canton and Longdale are nearby. Oklahoma City and Edmond are both about 100 miles away.
10. Keystone Lake
Another great state park is Keystone State Park on Keystone Lake. There’s no shortage of things to do, including swimming or relaxing on the sandy beaches, renting boats from the marinas, or fishing for crappie and bass. There’s also tons to do outside the water including mountain biking trails, hiking, and ATV/ORV areas. And kids will love the children’s fishing pond and playgrounds in the park.
