Whether you choose to go camping at luxury campsites to have scenic mountain landscapes or want to feel more connected to the forest around you, it can be hard to find the spot that speaks to you the most. One of the reasons North Carolina remains one of the most appealing states for camping is that there is a little bit of something for everyone. With mountains in the west and beaches on the east, and forests filling in the middle, North Carolina boasts several luxury RV campgrounds.

Where to Luxury Camp in North Carolina

Because North Carolina has many geographical features that draw people in to go camping, there are quite a few places that solve the problem of where to find luxury RV camping in North Carolina. In the western part of the state, you have the Appalachian Mountains, which are part of the Great Smoky Mountains, and Blue Ridge Parkway. In the middle of the state, you have several national forests, including Pisgah National Forest and Uwharrie National Forest, and Lake Norman. In the eastern portion of the state, you have the Outer Banks, which offer seaside views.

Luxury RV Camping in North Carolina

When it comes to the luxury RV parks in North Carolina, the climate is pretty well-rounded with its mild winters and temperate seasons. In the summer, you will want to bring a healthy supply of bug repellants and loose clothing as it can get fairly humid. You should also make sure that if you are camping in the summer, you bring waterproof camping supplies as storms can appear and disappear without any notice. There are a few other things to remember and bring with you, especially if you are planning on camping in the mountains.

If you are camping in the mountains during autumn or even winter, make sure that your RV is equipped to handle ice. While snow is uncommon in most of North Carolina, ice is not uncommon, and this is especially the case in the mountains, where temperatures often get far colder than in the rest of the state. Always follow camping etiquette. This includes keeping fires under control, being mindful about how much you might fish, and keeping noise to a reasonable level. Always clean up after yourself and any animals that you bring with you.

North Carolina is a beautiful state. There are endless trees and greenery, and with that, a lot of wildlife. If you are lucky, you could see a number of animals that you would never see in the city. When you travel far enough out, the night skies are alight with stars, and the views from mountains are unbeatable with the dense forests that blanket the landscape, giving you all the more reason to consider camping in the state.
