Located in the Orange County, California town of Buena Park, Knott's Berry Farm is a world-class theme park complete with thrilling rides, live shows, lots of restaurants, and much, much more. This 57-acre park has been attracting visitors since it started as a roadside berry stand nearly 100 years ago. Today, the park is home to 40 rides and hosts around 4 million visitors each year.

Note that in addition to tickets to the main theme park, separate tickets are required for the Soak City waterpark zone. Single-day admission tickets start at $59.99 online and may cost more if you wait to purchase them at the front gate. Military discounts and multi-day packages are also available.

While smaller children may want to avoid some of the faster roller coasters such as the Xcelerator and the Supreme Scream, there's plenty of fun to be had for children of all ages. You'll also find plenty of arcade games and even a petting zoo. There's plenty to see and do at this exciting theme park. Families may want to start their day at the kid-friendly Boardwalk area, and smaller children will find the Camp Snoopy zone to be tons of fun. At Camp Snoopy, you'll want to ride the Grand Sierra Railroad and check out the view from atop the High Sierra Ferris Wheel. History buffs will love seeing the Old West Ghost Town, which includes the river rafting ride, Calico River Rapids, and thrill seekers won't want to miss the famous Timber Mountain Log Ride. The wooden roller coaster GhostRider is another popular attraction.
There are four main themed areas within the park, including Fiesta Village, home to several of the park's most thrilling roller coasters, and Indian Trails, which showcases traditional Native American cultural arts, crafts, and dancing.
No trip to the park is complete without a stop at Mrs. Knotts Chicken Dinner Restaurant, which has been serving up fried chicken, biscuits, and boysenberry pie since 1934.

Huntington State Beach is about a 30-minute drive south of Knott's Berry Farm. Lifeguards are available at this beach as there are occasional rip currents. You'll find 3.5 miles of sandy coastline, with plenty of room to enjoy a nice long dip in the ocean.

The weather is usually pleasant year-round in southern California though the area does receive some rain, particularly during the winter. Be prepared to walk a lot during your visit to the park, and come prepared with comfortable shoes, a sun hat, and comfortable clothing.
Safety & Accessibility
For safety reasons, some rides may not be accessible to riders who require the use of mobility devices. Guests who use a prosthesis or have a cast or a neck brace should also be wary of some of the roller coasters because of the rapid acceleration that these rides have.
