Victoria Springs State Recreation Area is located in the sandhills of Nebraska and sits on 60 acres of land. The park is the perfect place to get away for a relaxing day in the wilderness and is known for its mineral springs. A five-acre lake is the main attraction within the park, while Victoria Creek also runs through the area, providing a water source for a variety of wildlife. Fishing, camping, water activities, and picnicking are popular activities enjoyed at this state recreation area. A playground and ball fields also offer fun activities for the whole family.

RV Resorts & Campsites in Victoria Springs State Recreation Area
There is one campground in Victoria Springs State Recreation Area that offers 22 campsites. The majority of these sites are designated as Electric Plus. This designation means they provide a dedicated water hookup, a 50-amp electrical connection, a picnic table, and a fire ring or grill. Each campsite can accommodate an RV up to 50 feet in length as well as up to eight people. The campground features showers, restrooms, and a dump station. The campground is open year-round, with May 1st through September 30th being designated as the peak season. The off-season is defined as October 1st through April 30th and features lower camping rates.
What to Do at
Victoria Springs State Recreation Area
While Victoria Springs State Recreation is only 60 acres in area, there are still plenty of activities to enjoy within its boundaries. The five-acre lake offers terrific fishing and boating opportunities. However, only non-powered boats and electric trolling motors are allowed on the lake. The scenic views make this park a terrific place for a picnic on a warm summer day.
Fishing
Access to fishing on the lake is available via the boat launch at the park's north end, and you can angle from shore or the handicap-accessible fishing pad. Anglers can find bass, bluegill, sunfish, and catfish in the lake. A fishing license is required, which you can get online before your arrival.
Geocaching
Geocaching is available in Nebraska state parks. You can use your smartphone or GPS device to find one. Once you do, sign the logbook and take a souvenir. However, remember to bring a family-friendly item to leave for the next treasure hunter.
Nature Watching
The banks of the park's lake offer terrific nature-watching opportunities. Beavers, bobcats, and white-tailed deer have been spotted in the park, as well as numerous waterfowl along the lake and creek.

How to Get to
Victoria Springs State Recreation Area
Victoria Springs State Recreation Area is located at 43400 State Hwy 21A South, Anselmo, NE 68813. If you are traveling to the park from Lincoln, NE, you will need to take I-80 W until you reach exit 312 for US-34 N/US-281 N toward Grand Island. When you take exit 312, turn right onto US-281 N and follow this road for 8.9 miles. You will then need to turn left onto NE-2 W. Continue along this route for another 85.4 miles and turn right onto Victoria Springs Rd. Drive another 10 miles until you approach NE-21A, where you will turn left. Make another left-hand turn once you see the park entrance.
Entering Victoria Springs State Recreation Area
There are two entrances to the park off of NE-21A. The first entrance on your left after turning off Victoria Springs Rd is the entrance to the campground. The second left-hand turn takes you to the park headquarters, boat launch, parking areas, and fishing pad. You can find the picnic area at the end of the southern parking area past the fishing pad.
