Cunningham Falls State Park

is located west of Thurmont and north of Frederick, Maryland. This state park is home to Cunningham Falls, which is the largest cascading waterfall in the state. Along with that, the park contains a man-made lake and historic iron furnace ruins. The temperatures in the park can vary and you can expect summer highs in the 80s and lows in the 20s for winter.

Cunningham Falls State Park Campground

There are two sections of the Cunningham Falls State Park campground. In the William Houck Area campground, there are 33 electric sites and 106 basic sites. Each campsite has a fire ring, picnic table, and lantern post. A centrally located bathhouse features hot showers and flush toilets. You can also use the dump station for sewage and potable water. The Manor Area campground offers electric sites and basic sites. This section includes the same amenities as the Houck area.

Ole Mink Farm Recreational Resort

Ole Mink Farm Recreational Resort has a little bit of everything. There are plenty of spots to park your RV. These seasonal sites feature 30-amp electric, water, and sewage hookups. Cunningham Falls State Park

If you are traveling from the town of Thurmont, it is only a short distance to Cunningham Falls State Park. You will want to head to Maryland 77-W. After that, you just follow the signs into the park. It is a three-mile journey from the town, and you should be in the park within 10 minutes.
