Bring your favorite fishing equipment when heading to Crooked River State Park so that you can catch sheepshead, redfish, and flounder. Enjoy boating fun by bringing your boat or renting one from this park's tackle store. Explore the river on a guided kayak tour. Watch for birds while strolling along the paths that are surrounded by palmettos and Spanish moss-draped oaks. With the largest one holding 135 people, the two picnic shelters make great places to dine or host a group.
How to Get to
Crooked River State Park
If you are on Interstate 95, then take the St. Marys Road exit. Once on St. Marys Road, proceed to the east and go through St. Marys. At the Isles of St. Marys Way, make a U-turn. Turn north on Julia Street and left onto Osborne Road. Turn right onto GA 40 Spur. Continue to follow the signs for GA 40 Spur until you reach Charlie Smith St Hwy. Turn left, and you will be at the park.

While entry is free, a $5 parking fee is charged at this park, which is open for day-use from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Crooked River State Park has 63 campsites that can accommodate both tents and motorhomes. These sites come with electrical hookups and are close to picnic shelters, the boat ramp, and the nature center.
Dogs are welcome at Crooked River State Park if they're leashed. Kennels aren't available, and all pets must always be accompanied by their owners. Pets aren’t allowed in state park buildings or near the swimming area.
