Inside The Cove Palisades State Park

Lake Billy Chinook is a large man-made reservoir that's a popular destination for water-based activities. The Crooked River Water Trail offers six miles of paddling on the Crooked River section of the lake, and more experienced paddlers will also enjoy the two-mile section of the river south of the bridge. You can rent various types of watercraft at the marina. If you prefer some adventures on dry land, there are several hiking trails of varying difficulty in this state park.

The Cove Palisades State Park

The Cove Palisades State Park is located in Culver, Oregon. 

From Portland, you will take US-26 E through Mt. Hood National Forest to Madras. Turn right on Highway 361 into Culver. Turn right on C Street, and then, turn right on Feather Rd. Turn left on Fisch Rd, which turns into Frasier Rd. Turn left on Jordan Rd.

From Salem, take OR-22 E for 80 miles and then turn left on US-20 E. Turn left on OR-126 E. Turn left on US-97. Turn left on OR-361 and continue into Culver. Turn right on C Street, and then, turn right on Feather Rd. Turn left on Fisch Rd, which turns into Frasier Rd. Turn left on Jordan Rd.
