Sitting on wooded hills with scenic valleys, Dillon State Park offers 2,285 acres of natural wonder in east central Ohio. The nearby Licking River feeds the Dillon Reservoir, created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1961 for flood control. This tract of land boasts summer and winter recreation, nature watching, and a place to gather with your group. Two picnic sites and numerous pavilions and shelterhouses are great for having a meal with friends and family and hosting parties and reunions. Several points of interest in the park, including the archery range and disc golf course, are offered at no charge to visitors thanks to the generosity of local Eagle Scouts.
