- San Luis State Park
Located a short distance from Mosca and Hooper in Colorado, San Luis State Park (also called San Luis Lakes State Wildlife Area) is a small natural space centered around San Luis Lake. Acting as a sort of add-on to the much larger Great Sand Dunes National Park to the east, this roughly 580-acre plot of land is still a unique and fun environment to enjoy during an RV vacation. There are plenty of activities on land and in the water to try and tons of wildlife to observe and explore. Temperatures tend to be fairly moderate, as well, with the winter months getting downright cold. Either way, expect plenty of great scenery no matter the season.

Run by a friendly staff and featuring amenities like full hookups, restrooms, laundry facilities and free Wi-Fi, it's an excellent place to stay when you're not out having adventures. Great Sand Dunes Oasis RV Park
Great Sand Dunes Oasis RV Park is a smaller RV park with an emphasis on nature. While the RV spots do have full hookups, they also offer primitive tent camping sites and rustic cabins if you'd prefer to really get to know the dunes. There's also a dump station on the grounds to use, and pets are welcome everywhere except in the cabins. RV camping costs $38 per night for two people with an additional $2.50 charged per person. An unusual feature of the RV park is in how it advertises the area around it, pointing out the various claims of UFO sightings and cryptids that guides and guests can explore if they have a taste for the supernatural or just want an excuse to experience the natural area around them.
