- Queen Wilhelmina State Park
Queen Wilhelmina State Park occupies 460 acres on top of Rich Mountain — Arkansas’ second-highest peak. Central to the park is Queen Wilhelmina Lodge, which was originally built in 1898, however, the present-day lodge is a reconstruction of the original, which burned in 1973. Along with the lodge's reconstruction, Arkansas developed a campground for those who choose to travel in an RV. The main attraction of the park is the view of the Ouachita Mountains. A small community, Mena, AR, is within 13 miles of the park. The largest community within proxminity to the park is Fort Smith, AR, which is 94 miles to the north.
