- - Although Kalea runs great, she is an old lady so she is NOT allowed up Crater Road / Waipoli Road / Haleakala Observatory / Poli Poli / Hwy 378.
- -Charge the waves, not the mountains. The Road to Hana is allowed. ALL Damages incurred on this road ARE Your Responsibility, including flat tires-which happens often with the many road hazards.
- - Kalea is not allowed past the Nakalele Blow Hole on Hwy 340. This road is impossible to get a tow truck to and is dangerous.

AVOID. This RV should no longer be for rent.
Kyle's a cool guy, maybe too cool. After picking us up at the airport and explaining how the van worked, Kyle told us he had forgotten extra sheets and pillows for the kids. Then we drove 30 km maximum and the van broke down. We had to find a new van.
We would not recommend renting this RV or rentng from Kyle.The camper is very old&unreliable,fridge not working,water not working, no leisure battery for lights etc and we had mechanical issues throughout the trip,resulting in RV usage for 6 instead of 15 nights and Kyle refused us a refund.Highly disappointed .look elsewhere.

Sincerely apologize for the mechanical issues you experiences on your trip, as much as we stay up with our mechanic on issues, she is 40 years old and rarely something happens, unfortunately that happened during your trip.
Kalea have been great, easy to drive and camp around the island with a lot of smiles and shaka responses on the way. We went with our small kids, they absolutely loved it since first moment and wanted to stay even longer than week. We had a lot of fun and memorable moments, and definitely recommend to try this kind of relax with exploring the island.
The campervan is beautiful and runs great. We had the best Maui experience but as Kyle describes, Kalea is a old lady and has its own moments. This van is not a place to learn how to drive a manual car, is necessary to have experience and respect.
The campervan had everything that we needed to have the best time, it’s gorgeous and sometimes we felt like the coolest couple in the island hahahha.
Kalea was a terrific van for our Maui tour! She handled the winding narrow roads and hairpin turns like a pro. The westphalia stove and sink build out did the job for morning coffee, scrambled eggs ... and local fish fry dinners on the beach. What fun... And we got high fives everywhere we went.
