In 1803, explorers Lewis and Clark launched an expedition west that would take them more than three years to complete. The Lewis and Clark National and State Historical Parks pay homage to their journey and include two state parks in Washington and three state parks in Oregon. As you wander through the park, you'll reach the reconstruction of Fort Clatsop, where Lewis and Clark stayed with the Corps of Discovery. How To Get To Lewis and Clark National and State Historical Parks

The Lewis and Clark National and State Historical Parks are due south of Astoria and located on Fort Clatsop Road. You'll want to take Highway 101 from Astoria until you reach the brown signs that direct you to the different areas inside the park.
