ON-SITE AMENITIES

LINEUP

The Music is supplied by the local Keys Radio Station US1 104.1 FM. A pre-selected radio playlist is streamed live from underwater speakers, while musician-divers and mermaids play whimsical instruments created by local artist, August Powers. In past years, instruments have included the “trom-bonefish,” “sea-phan flute” and a “Fluke-a-Lele.”

Becker selects all the ocean-themed songs, such as the Beatles’ “Yellow Submarine” and “Octopus Garden,” and even insists that the fish like to dance to Jimmy Buffett’s “Fins.” The audience, of course, enjoys the tunes from underwater as well; since sound travels 4.3 times faster in water than in air, the sonic experience has been described as particularly ethereal.

RVING AT THE EVENT

Tips for RVers at Underwater Music Festival:

• You should stock your RV before getting on the road. Bring everything you may need that you can't buy locally at camping stores or supply providers. Pack weather-appropriate clothing.

• Review all rules and guidelines for the event to avoid violations that could lead to your removal from the reef. Follow all safety protocols as explained by the event organizers.

• If you bring your pet, make arrangements for a sitter or dog walker to come to your preferred campground. Pets are not allowed at the event.

HOW TO GET THERE

From Key West Airport: Head west on Faraldo Circle. Take a slight left to stay on Faraldo Circle. Turn left onto South Roosevelt Blvd. Turn right onto US-1 North. Turn right onto Deer Run Trail. Turn right, and the venue will be on the left. From Marathon: Head west toward 98th Street. Turn right onto 98th Street. Turn left at the first cross street onto US-1 South. Turn left onto Chapman Street. Turn right onto Quail Roost Trail. Turn left, and the venue will be on the left.

PARKING

Parking at the 2025 Underwater Music Festival is available at Bayfront Park, but spaces are limited. Guests are encouraged to use shuttle services to the event and to park at local campgrounds.
