Rent an RV

Bourbon & Beyond is four days of incredible live music, exceptional bourbon, and amazing food. It all happens at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, KY, September 24–27, 2026. Going there in an RV is the smart play. Just show up, set up, and enjoy the long weekend. In an RV, you'll stay close to the grounds and have an easy way to explore the Louisville area.

ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT

Bourbon & Beyond is not a one-trick festival. Multiple stages, bourbon programming, chef-driven food experiences, and sponsor activations fill out the grounds beyond the music. Between sets, there's plenty to do. Sample something from a distillery, grab food from a vendor, or decompress at the campground before the next headliner.

ON-SITE AMENITIES

The campground covers the basics well: concessions, a camp store, showers, medical support, and 24-hour security. Inside the festival, expect food and beverage vendors, merchandise, lockers, and security screening. Check the festival info and accessibility information pages before you arrive if you need accessible parking, mobility support, or medical accommodations.

LOCATION

Bourbon & Beyond is held at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville. It’s well-positioned off I-65 and I-264, with Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport close by. Traffic gets heavy when the festival gates open and after headlining sets, so factor that into your timing. Late September in Louisville runs warm during the day and cooler at night. Pack layers, sunscreen, and rain gear so that you are prepared for any weather conditions. If you want to mix things up during your festival stay, Churchill Downs, the Louisville Mega Cavern, the Louisville Zoo, and downtown bourbon bars are all worth your time. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is an easy add-on before or after the weekend.

LINEUP

Bourbon and live music are two things Americans have always done well. The 2026 Bourbon & Beyond festival delivers on both, with a lineup to please classic rock fans, country purists, and indie kids all at once. The performers include: • Foo Fighters • Mumford & Sons • Chris Stapleton • Dave Matthews Band • Queens of the Stone Age • Kacey Musgraves • The Red Clay Strays • Hootie & the Blowfish • Goose • Foster the People • Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit • Counting Crows

Camping opens Wednesday, September 23.

RV Rental Tips for Bourbon & Beyond

Book your Louisville RV rental early since camping passes move fast and waitlists can be long. As for the right RV to bring, a Class A motorhome gives a group the most room to stay comfortable over the long weekend. If you're towing, a travel trailer works well as long as your vehicle is properly equipped. One thing worth knowing is that RV deliveries and pickups are not allowed at the Expo Center campgrounds, so you need to arrive in your RV. And if you booked a no-hookup site, plan your water use before you roll in. Are you a first-time RVer? RVshare's first-time RV rental tips for events are worth a read before you go.

WRAP UP

Bourbon & Beyond is seriously well-suited to an RV trip. The festival leans into the campground experience, and having your own space to return to each night makes a four-day run far more manageable. You control your meals, your pace, and your morning. That's worth something. Before you go, confirm your campsite type and verify whether you have hookups. Check that everyone in your group has the right festival and camping wristbands. If you're staying off-site, pick a campground with straightforward access to Louisville, and give yourself extra time for festival traffic. RVshare's camping cuisine ideas are useful if you don’t want to rely on festival food for every meal.

4-Day RV Itinerary for Bourbon & Beyond

• Day 1: Get in, set up, and keep it simple. Check into your campsite, walk the grounds, and save your energy for the weekend ahead. Cook at the RV while you ease in. • Days 2–3: Move between stages, bourbon experiences, and food vendors at your own pace. Use your RV as a reset between sets. Enjoy fresh clothes, a real meal, and 10 minutes of quiet. If you're off-site, sort out your drive and parking timing before you leave each morning. • Day 4: Enjoy the final day, but consider breaking down loose campsite items before you head to the festival grounds. After the last set, get a full night of rest before hitting the road, or extend the trip with a stop at Churchill Downs, downtown Louisville, or a distillery or two along the Bourbon Trail.
